Dear Better Asian Man,

Love your Better Asian Man blog and podcast. You inspired me to start my own blog. I want to stay pretty anonymous, but I do want to share knowledge. I just went on a writing orgy today. If you get a chance to read it, let me know what you think.

Dear Octavian,

I am honored to learn that BetterAsianMan.com has inspired a fellow Asian American man to write about his own trials and tribulations in the world of romance. I am really glad to see that you have brought to light two ideas which I feel are extremely important:

1. You believe that “pickup techniques” work, but not for everyone.
2. You understand that BetterAsianMan.com encourages other Asian American guys to share what worked for them, just as I am sharing what worked for me.

There was one post on your blog that really struck me entitled “The following will not help you with women” To that list, I’d like to add a few more items:

• Taking on a leadership role in your community. This worked wonders for helping me develop leadership, management, teamwork, and logistics skills, but did not translate into helping me be more skillful at romantically connecting with women.
• Professional advancement. In this blog entry, I explained how I had attained a level of advancement in my career so as to reach the top 2% of highest paid contractors in my division. This worked wonders for my standard of living, but did not translate into helping me be more skillful at romantically connecting with women.
• Tour New York City performance venues with a Swing Dance choreographed performance group. I did this for 2 years, and learned a lot about performing, stage presence, and creative funding sources for artistic endeavors, but, unfortunately, this knowledge did not translate into helping me be more skillful at romantically connecting with women.

There are exactly 6 things that I needed to learn how to do in order to be able to romantically connect with women regularly. I’ve listed these 6 things here.

I learned how to do these 6 things by taking an ABCs of Attraction bootcamp, but as you’ve pointed out here, each man must choose his own path. I look forward to reading more about yours as you continue to blog about your life experiences.
